EXiting Egypt Part 4

Exiting Egypt

“The Blessings of Obedience”

By Dennis Lee Part 4 of 4

Exodus 4:18-31

4. With Obedience God Fulfills His Promises

Read Ex. 4: 27-31

When Moses obeyed, when he moved forward in His calling, obeying God, he travels back to the Mountain of God, and there meets up with his brother Aaron. Then both of them traveled to Egypt together where they obeyed God and met with all the elders.

Aaron followed his responsibilities and told them of what God had told Moses, and Moses obeyed God by performing the miracles.

So, what was the blessing of God? God used Moses and Aaron’s obedience to fulfill His promise to the people. That God heard their cry and was going to deliver them from their bondage.

This aroused within their hearts the deepest emotions imaginable. They were now about to experience the fullness of God’s promises. They were about to be freed, freed by the power of God. And so joy, hope, and expectancy flooded their hearts. A deep sense of God’s care and love flowed through them. A spirit of thankfulness and praise gripped their souls. And as a result, they fell to their knees and worshipped God.

What this tells us is that our worship and praise of God should never cease, because God has indeed delivered us from the bondage of sin and death through the sacrifice that Jesus made there upon the cross, that whoever believes in Him shall never die.
